22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.
23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

Have you ever just felt the weight of living in a broken, sin-sick world? At the time I’m writing this, the United States death total for COVID just surpassed 100k, George Floyd was senselessly killed, racial tension has hit a boiling point, political partisanship is tearing our country in two. I’ll stop there for both our sakes. I’m understanding more and more the words of Paul, ‘the creation GROANS’. I feel a deep groaning in my own soul, a desperate cry for the Lord to fix this mess, to make all things new again. Until that day, I’m having to GOSPEL myself daily. Gospel simply means Good News. I’d encourage you to do the same. Remind yourself of the Good News we have in Jesus. Good News that behind the MESS, there is a merciful and loving God in control of it all. Good News that He causes ALL things to work for good to those that love Him. Good News that God’s promises never return to Him empty or void. Good News that He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the Author and Finisher of our story and this story has a glorious ending!
