Jesus came to reveal the true nature of His Father in heaven. We must always fix our eyes upon Jesus that we can continue to be the light in the darkness that he left us here to be

Jesus’ word to us, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others that they will see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”(Mathew 5:14-16)

Such a glorious life we are called to live. Just knowing the light of our Savior shines thru us as we share our faith as we look for ways to bring Glory to God in all that we do. Making the most of every opportunity

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world he who follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” We can be a good example to others as we follow Jesus’s lead in sharing His love to others in all we do in word and deed.

There are so many ways we can let our light shine as we pray for those divine appointments to share our faith and pray for others as we extend a helping hand wherever we go as we bring comfort and love to those who are in need and as we do we give God the glory.

Jesus is the light. His light is warm and inviting.  We are drawn to His light. As we embrace His light, it reflects through our lives. You and I are His glory agents wherever we go, and whatever we do, we bring glory to God. It is not an accident you are in your workplace. God has positioned you there; He has raised you up to be His light. This is your mission field. That light shines when we do our work with excellence because God is a God of excellence.  His light shines when we are more concerned with others than with ourselves As we look for opportunities to help others where there is a need As we get to know our co-workers and they share with us their trials and burdens, the door opens for us to listen and ask “Can I pray for you?” And possible you could pray for them on the spot or let them know you will be praying for them.

And that opens the door for you to share your faith. I often jokingly refer to my different ministries, my pool ministry my shopping ministry because God is always setting up divine appointments for us to step out in and to let your light shine.

God is always stretching us to do things we are not comfortable doing. It brought to mind a couple of years ago, I was at a Bootcamp Retreat which was a glorious time filled with dynamic teachings and anointed worship. On the last day of the retreat, Pastor Reggie asked if one man and one woman would get up and share the highlight of your time. One of the men volunteered but no woman, so he said, “I’ll just have to pick one “ It was a large gathering, and I was not comfortable getting up in front of all those people, so I did a nose dive under the table bending down practically under the tablecloth pretending I’m looking thru my handbag Thinking if he doesn’t see me I’m safe And all of a sudden I hear my name “Dot” and what do I see but  Pastor Shino pointing at me –Well I had no choice but get up there but left on my own I would have hidden under that table.

My question for you is, what do you do when God is calling you to do something you are not totally comfortable with? Do you let your light shine, or do you hid it under a table?

Remember Jesus’ words: “You are the light of the world, a town built on a hill cannot be hidden Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others that they will see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”(Mathew 5:14-16)
