“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Luke 19:10

If you pay attention to humanity, it would seem we are all on some type of savior search. The question is, who will you look to for your salvation. It seems Hollywood is looking to Will Smith:

If aliens attack the nation’s capital on the Fourth of July, who will save us? Will Smith if you’ve seen the movie, “Independence Day”

If your love life is struggling and in need of salvation, who will you call? Will Smith, if you’ve seen the movie “Hitch”.

If alien life forms infiltrate society and threaten to take over the world, who will save us? Will Smith, if you’ve ever seen the movie “Men In Black”.

If Robots threaten to exterminate humanity, who should we call? Will Smith if you’ve ever seen the movie, “I Robot”.

If humanity is threatened by a deadly virus (too soon?) that turns humans into soulless zombies, who should we call? Will Smith, if you’ve ever seen the movie, “I Am Legend”.

I’ve heard it said, ‘the Gospel is the story, all other stories point to’. In “I Am Legend” in the closing scene, Dr. Neville (Will Smith) finds a cure through his blood that will cure a virus infected world. He declares to a mob of infected humanity, “I’ve found a cure, I can save you! I can save all of you”. Sound familiar? How about we let Will Smith handle the aliens and robots and we look to Jesus to save us from our sin! He’s found a cure!
