Scars tell a story. Having undergone 16 surgeries and over 500 stitches in my career, I have a story that corresponds with each of them. Here are some other famous scars and their stories:

Actress Kaley Cuoco fell off of a horse in 2010. The horse fell back onto her leg crushing her bones. Two metal bars were surgically inserted to stabilize the leg. Cuoco jokes she can sense when it’s about to rain by the aching of her surgically repaired leg.

Actor Jonah Hill as a young rebellious 15 yr old, jumped in a car with a friend as it sped away. Hill’s arm hanging out the passenger window was nearly crushed as the driver lost control. He uses his scar as a reminder to work hard and put his rebellious days behind him.

Actor Harrison Ford sliced his chin open as a young man in a car accident. Screenwriters have incorporated the scar into the script on occasion. Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade had a young Indy getting his chin scarred from a whip.

Actress Tina Fey was attacked as a 5 year-old girl with a knife. The attacker was never caught. Fey undeterred by her scar, would go on to Hollywood stardom. If you pay attention, most of her filming angles are taken from the right side.

“Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:4-5
